Curtis L. Harnagel is a multidisciplinary creative director, producer, and consultant whose work spans live entertainment, multimedia production, experiential storytelling, dance, and strategic creative development.

 

Through his creative platform, GESAMTCURTISWERK, Curtis develops immersive experiences that merge narrative, performance, visual design, and production strategy into cohesive audience-centered environments.  His work bridges artistic direction with operational execution, allowing bold concepts to become fully realized productions.

 

Curtis collaborates with corporate partners, creative teams, and institutions including nonprofit organizations and educational programs, bringing together creative innovation and strategic insight across a wide range of disciplines.  His projects include live productions, multimedia campaigns, competition choreography and design, consulting initiatives, and nationally recognized performance work.

Inspired early by movie musicals, television, and theatrical performance, Curtis has pursued storytelling through the visual arts and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Radio, Television, and Film from the University of North Texas. His creative career includes work ranging from lighting design for a pilot production of The Phantom of the Opera to award-winning creative direction for dance teams, choirs, and large-scale live entertainment experiences.

 

Known for integrating multiple creative disciplines into cohesive productions, Curtis frequently works across roles including director, producer, designer, editor, and creative strategist.  This interdisciplinary philosophy forms the foundation of GESAMTCURTISWERK: a concept inspired by the idea of the “total work,” where diverse artistic and technical elements combine into a singular immersive vision.

 

Curtis’s work has reached national audiences through platforms including America’s Got Talent, while his productions and media content through GESAMTCURTISWERK have generated millions of views across digital platforms.

His work has earned multiple honors, including the Silver Remi Award for the documentary short Tango Pasional, as well as recognition for excellence in creative direction, choreography, production design, and performance presentation.

 

Alongside his production work, Curtis advises nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, and creative initiatives on experiential strategy, storytelling, organizational growth, and audience engagement. 

He contributes to speaking appearances, mentorship initiatives, and creative leadership conversations centered on innovation, collaboration, and the evolving role of experiential storytelling.

 

He has served on the boards of The Wanderlust Dance Project and ICON Dance, contributing creative leadership and strategic insight to arts and community initiatives.
