Curtis L. Harnagel is an award-winning creative director, consultant, and producer known for his innovative vision, diverse skill set, and talent for turning bold ideas into exceptional experiences.  He collaborates with a wide range of clients — including national nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, and corporate consulting — blending creativity with strategic business acumen.  His dynamic work spans live entertainment, multimedia production, dance, and business consulting. 

​Curtis's creative journey began in his youth, inspired by movie musicals, TV performances, and stage productions.  He pursued his passion at the University of North Texas, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Radio, Television, and Film.  His notable achievements range from lighting design for an Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera pilot production to creative direction for award-winning dance teams and choirs.  Versatile in his roles as director, designer, editor, and producer, Curtis often blends these talents into cohesive, innovative projects, a philosophy that forms the foundation of his creative brand: GESAMTCURTISWERK.

​As a creative director and producer, Curtis excels at combining high-level creative concepts with meticulous logistical planning.  He’s known for managing complex projects across diverse venues, handling budgets, and coordinating intricate timelines.  His work has reached national platforms, including millions of views on his GESAMTCURTISWERK YouTube channel and performances on America’s Got Talent, where his contributions have captivated wide audiences.

​Curtis’s work has earned several awards including the Silver Remi Award for the documentary short Tango Pasional along with multiple accolades for his work with dance competition performances, creative direction, and design.  His merchandising background complements his consulting work, showcasing his ability to innovate across industries.  Curtis’s forward-thinking approach and proven track record make him a visionary leader who consistently delivers value and fosters long-term success for clients and stakeholders alike.

​As a consultant, Curtis supports nonprofit organizations and educational institutions.  Driven by a passion for mentorship and community impact, he helps elevate projects to the next level.  His philosophy of integrating diverse skills and interests — what he calls GESAMTCURTISWERK, or “Total Work of Curtis” — is central to his creative process.  This approach unifies varied elements into a dynamic, adaptable vision that consistently delivers impact.
